Clients:
The Agency's author list should be treated with a little caution, as a large number of its authors are represented by the agency but have not yet sold their first book. A number of its other authors (Peter Murphy, Lyndsay Russell, and Leigh Russell, for example) have indeed been published in the UK ... but by No Exit Press/ Oldcastle Books, which is the publisher that Crossland used to work with. To date the agency has sold books to publishers including Thomas & Mercer (US/UK, a 3-book deal), No Exit Press (UK, a 2-book deal), Darton Longman & Todd (UK), Akashic Books (US), Lake Union (US/UK), and Endeavour Press (UK). Some of the agency's authors have gone down the self-publishing route, although they have done so in conjunction with the agency via Amazon's White Glove program, which is only available to agents and which does provide a slight advantage over actual self-publishing.

More info on this agency:
Since A for Authors 9is still relatively new agency (less than four years old, which, due to the nature of the business, still makes them a "young" company), and has built the business from nothing, they do have some authors who books are as yet unplaced. To date, the agency has sold books to publishers including Thomas&Mercer (The US. UK, a 3-book deal), No Exit Press (UK, a 2-book deal), Darton, Longman & Todd (UK), Akashic Books (US), Lake Union (US/UK), and Endeavour Press (UK). The agency favours commercial fiction, particularly crime, literary fiction but does not accept radio/ theatre/ TV scripts, poetry, fantasy, SF/Horror genres, short stories, adult illustrated books on art, architecture, design, and visual culture. The agency is no longer accepting submission in the YA/ Childrens genre.
