Profile Summary

Christine is a well-established and highly regarded literary agent with over three decades of experience. While she is open for submissions, not that she is extremely selective, above and beyond ordinary agents. She works alone and prides herself on the commitment to her authors. To add another author to her list is not something she does lightly.

Interested in both fiction and non-fiction, Christine is open to submissions covering literary and commercial fiction, adult to YA target markets. In non-fiction, she will take a look at general non-fiction, but particularly specialist works will likely be out of her comfort zone. Christine is *not* interested in children's books, science-fiction/fantasy, poetry or scripts.

Christine looks after a number of high-profile estates for authors she represented throughout their careers, such as Maeve Binchy, Mary Beckett, and Sylvian Hamilton. While Christine's list does consist of numerous literary heavyweights, she is still eager to find and nurture new talent, taking on debut novelists. Several of her more inexperienced clients are graduates of university creative writing programmes from across the UK. It should also be noted that Christine's clients are based across the globe, from the UK to other parts of Europe, to the US and beyond.

Outside of a Twitter account, Christine does not have much of an online presence. We have been unable to locate much in the way of specific interests/preferences for her. Please let Agent Hunter know if you have any further information on Christine.

More info on this agency:
Christine Green Authors' Agent has been representing writers in Britain and around the world for three decades. As a small agency, we are careful only to take on clients we like and whose work we admire. We like to form close working relationships with our authors. As what is sometimes called a "boutique" agency our stock-in-trade is our hands-on editorial approach, for which we are particularly known in the industry. Not all authors need extensive editorial input but those who do will not find it available everywhere: the time and expense of editorial support is a shrinking resource in today's publishing world. Our aim is to help authors get their manuscripts into the very best possible shape before putting them in front of publishers, and that means that both we and the writers we represent are taken seriously. Our list is select; our commitment is high. We are always on the lookout for people with stories to tell and exciting ways of telling them. We are members of the Association of Authors' Agents and abide by its code of conduct.
