Profile Summary

There is very limited information on David in the public domain. He does not appear to do interviews, attend many events, or have any online presence outside of his official agency profile. What information he does provide in his biography is basic and not particularly enlightening when it comes to discovering more about his personality.

Having been made Director of MBA, we can assume that David is very good at what he does. His focus is very much on the commercial side of the business, looking for bestsellers rather than manuscripts that would appeal to niche audiences. David also likes to work with authors who have cross-platform appeal.

If you have any greater insights into David as an agent, please do let us know.

MBA Literary and Script Agents
Agent since:
2003
Short biography:
David was made a Director at MBA in 2009. He is always looking for terrific new writers, focusing on a wide range of subjects, including literary fiction, upmarket non-fiction, memoir, crime, politics, history, health and lifestyle, business and pop culture. He works very closely with a variety of clients including journalists, novelists, sports figures, actors, doctors, TV personalities, business figures, and military historians. He brings a strong editorial and commercial approach to all proposals and manuscripts, believing that it takes more than a good idea to sell in the current market. He works hard to convert these ideas into something which will really connect with an editor and a wider readership.
