Profile Summary

Unfortunately, the Bell Lomax Literary Agency discloses very little information about its founder, Eddie Bell.  We can confirm that Eddie was Executive Chairman and Publisher of Harper Collins Publishers before setting up his own agency in 2000.  Sadly, he has an almost non-existent online profile so it is difficult to piece together his biography.

The agency represents writers and illustrators of adult fiction, non-fiction and children’s books but it does not categorise its client list by agent, which means that it’s impossible to analyse Eddie Bell’s literary tastes via the clients he already represents.

We suspect that Eddie is not building his client list as, in contrast to his fellow agents, there is no mention of his submission interests on the website, or even his role as an agent at the company.  As a result we advise debut authors to view the AH profile of one of his colleagues instead.

We have asked for more detail from the agent in question and will publish whatever we have whenever we have it. Our ‘genre selections’ for Eddie Bell are guesstimates as we have not heard back from the firm as yet.  If any AH user knows more about Eddie Bell and is able to fill us in, we’d like to hear from you. Please feel free to get in touch.
