Robert CaskieCaskie Mushens Ltd
An experienced agent, Caskie was working at PFD for seven years before leaving to set up Caskie Mushens with Juliet Mushens in January 2017. The two wanted to create a boutique agency that was extremely author-centric, using their talents to promote their authors across mediums. Robert has experience in TV and film agenting, marketing/PR, publishing, and significant exposure to the journalism industry.
While he is interested in fiction, mainly literary and commercial cross-over, he appears to be mostly focusing on non-fiction works. With his partner, Juliet, having a strong background in fiction, Robert looks to be pursuing his passion for journalism and other forms of narrative non-fiction. He likes manuscripts that 'stimulate debate', comment on the world around us, and invoke an emotional response from readers.
With the CaskieMushens Agency having only recently been set-up, there is limited information on exactly what Robert is interested in, but we expect more information to be forthcoming shortly.
Robert is looking for popular psychology and philosophy (well being/lifestyle), politics, foreign affairs, and narrative non-fiction.
He is also keen to represent writers of literary/commercial crossover fiction, writers whose stories will immerse the reader in another world and way of being.
Of particular interest are passionate writers who want to stimulate debate and make their readers think and react and feel an emotional response to the words.
