Sarah started her career in 1990 at Random House in the Children's department, before moving onto Chatto & Windus as Press Officer then Marketing and Publicity Manager. She went onto work her way up at Penguin becoming Head of Publicity and eventually Publicity Director of Penguin UK.

Sarah has also worked as a commissioning editor at 4th Estate, a Senior Editor at Hodder & Stoughton and an Editorial Director of Duckworth Publishers. She was shortlisted for Literary Agent of the year at The Bookseller Industry Awards 2013 & 2014.

Sarah is currently on the lookout for 'a really exciting thriller' and 'a big love story for the 21st century'.

* The authors on her list write in a wide range of genres and current clients include Matthew De Abaitua (Art of Camping); Vesna Maric (literary memoir 'Bluebird'); commercial 'women's' writer Vina Jackson (Eighty Days Series, translated into 23 languages); Nick Barlay; Caroline Sanderson, author of the bestselling biography of Adele; graphic novelist John H Dunning; Children's 'Horrible Science' illustrator Tony De Saulles; and Antony Johnston (adapts Anthony Horowitz's Alex Rider series into graphic novels).
