Bright Literary Agency
I'm a bubbly bookworm who was born and raised in Scotland. Moving south after completing my degree in Literature and Theory, I took my first editorial job in publishing where I worked on an all encompassing list with job responsibilities ranging from writing stories to art directing covers. Discovering my love for working closely with authors and illustrators and creating amazing stories, I moved to the Bright Agency where I initially represented the illustrator list. Taking on more of a literary role, I began to support Vicki in the management of her of award-winning list of picture book authors and illustrators while creating stories and building a list of my own. I now represent a small list of fiction and picture book authors and author illustrators.

Genres this agent is interested in:
Children's picture books, Children's fiction, Young adult fiction, Children's & YA non-fiction
Authors & books liked:
I love funny picture book stories with an unexpected twist on the domestic environment and those that really delve into the immediacy of the mental processes of children. Something a bit bonkers never goes wrong either. A few of my inspirational (non-Bright) authors are Dr Seuss, Lemony Snicket, Francesca Simone, Dianne Wynn Jones, Ursula Le Guin. In terms of YA and MG, I like issue texts that really get into the grit and darkness and I am always attracted by a bit of magic or something surreal.
