Profile Summary

Having been an agent for more than 30 years, Tina knows what she likes and what will sell. She worked her way up from the bottom, starting as an assistant before eventually becoming co-director, so she is no stranger to hard work and perseverance. Tina is interested more generally in excellent commercial and literary fiction in all its guises, especially crime/thrillers, with a focus on psychological thrillers. If you have a manuscript that will send shivers down your readers' spines, Tina might just be the agent for you!

Despite being a well-established and successful literary agent, Tina's reputation is that of someone generous with her time and feedback. This is very rare with agents these days, with the hundreds (or more!) submissions they receive every week. If Tina is interested in your work, she will take the time to read it. While that may not guarantee an offer of representation, remember that her time is valuable and any feedback she is able to give you is a boon.

Note that while Tina does represent children's authors, she is not currently looking to take on new clients in this area.

Short biography:

I've been with Andrew Mann Literary Agency for 30 years, starting as an assistant, and I am now co-director of the company. I have built up a list including quality commercial fiction, as well as some non-fiction and children’s titles, and I also represent a small list of dramatists for television and radio.

My preferences are for up-market commercial and literary fiction, women's commercial fiction, crime and thrillers, particularly psychological thrillers, and historical fiction. I am no longer looking for children's fiction.

More info on this agency:
Andrew Mann Literary Agency was established in 1975. We are a small literary agency always looking for exciting projects, although we do not handle poetry, spiritual or new age philosophy, short stories or misery memoirs. I'm afraid we are not currently accepting submissions for film or theatre. Due to the huge number of submissions received we select very few, but we will make editorial suggestions if we see potential in the work.
