Profile Summary

Tony is not currently accepting unsolicited manuscripts as his list is full. Check his website for the most up-to-date details on submissions.

Note that Tony and his agency, Peake Associates, does not appear to be very active at the moment. Most information we have been able to find on Tony dates back to around the millennium other than a few short stories he has had published in various collections.

According to his Wikipedia entry, Tony's career has been incredibly varied, from being a production manager at a theatre, to teaching English, Drama and History, modelling, acting, and working in film distribution. Later in life he settled into being a literary agent for a very select group of clients while continuing his own writing career. He has had work included in several short story publications and essay collections, including Winter’s Tales (edited by Robin Baird-Smith, Constable), The Penguin Book of Contemporary South African Short Stories (edited by Stephen Gray), The Mammoth Book of Gay Short Stories (edited by Peter Burton, Robinson Publishing), New Writing 13 (edited by Toby Litt and Ali Smith, Picador), The Way We Are Now: gay and lesbian lives in the 21st century (a Stonewall (UK) anthology edited by Ben Summerskill, Continuum), Seduction (Serpent's Tail), a themed anthology which he also edited, and Yes, I Am! Writing by South African Gay Men (compiled by Robin Malan & Ashraf Johaardien, Junkets Publisher, Cape Town). He has also written two novels and the biography of Derek Jarman.
